In the heart of Paris, in an up and coming village type neighborhood two small apartments were reunited to form a large colorful duplex, full of ideas! After removing the existing structure and having our partner engineering office create a trough, we completely remodeled the apartment in order to tailor it to our client’s wishes. The entrance, walk-in closet, small equipment room, toilets, kitchen, laundry room, built-in storage space, bedrooms, bath-room – everything was reinvented.
The refurbishment process was full of surprises – good and bad- but we were able to handle the situation while respecting our client’s budget. In the living room, we created a suspended staircase which leads to a landing serving the bedrooms. On the same landing, a touch of transparency was added through the use of a glass floor leading to the bathroom. In this room, the following elements were added to the same wall: a hanging toilet, double bathroom cabinet with washbasins inserted on a CORIAN countertop, with a heated mirror and walk-in shower with built-in taps and a luminous storage niche.
