Let’s be honest, the “total white” look suffers from some bad reputation when it comes to decorating your home. Justified, arguably, in cases where it has been poorly executed (think all-year-around winter wonderland). Nevertheless, by following some simple advice you can make this look work for your home, and create a cozy, delicate-looking interior that you will truly enjoy living in.

Advice 1: We play with nuances

Going for a total white look does not have to imply going for a single white tone. In fact, there are tens of white tones to work with! You can also add in some light pastel colors to brighten up and enhance the look of your space, like light green, light blue or a soft gray. This also adds a bit of warmth.

Advice 2: We play with textures

If you are looking to enhance the “cocooning” feeling of your space, nothing works better than playing with textures, fabrics and materials. For the two former, don’t hesitate to mix natural fabrics like raw linen, (fake) fur and wool. This will bring out hues and different design aspects that add character to your space.
